What is CUET Exam ?

CUET UG (Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate courses in various central, state, and private universities across India, including Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), etc.


CUET UG 2025 Events Date:

  • Registration started: 01March 2025
  • Deadline: 22 March 2025
  • Exam date : Between 08 May 2025-01 June 2025

Eligibility Criteria for CUET UG 2025

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) eligibility criteria are as follows:

1. Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 or an equivalent exam in 2025 from a recognized board.

There is no minimum percentage requirement set by NTA, but individual universities may have their own criteria for specific courses.


2. Age Limit:

There is no age limit for CUET UG.

However, candidates must fulfill the age requirements of the university they are applying to.


3. Subject Requirements:

Candidates should select subjects in CUET UG that match the eligibility criteria of the university and course they wish to apply for.

Different universities may have different subject combinations for their courses.


4. Number of Attempts:

No restriction on the number of attempts. Candidates can appear as long as they meet the academic qualifications.

Required Documents:

1. Upload Scanned Images (Clearly visible) of Candidate’s Photograph, Signature and Documents (as applicable) :

The recent passport size photograph should be either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background. Photograph should be named as ‘< first two characters of candidate name>_Photo’ and in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible) between 10 kb to 200 kb .


2. Signature file should be named as ‘< first two characters of candidate name>_Signature’ and in JPG/JPEG format between 10 kb to 50 kb.


3. Scanned copy of PwD/PwBD/UDID certificate (if applicable) should be named as '< first two characters of candidate name>_PwDCertificate’ and in pdf format between 50 kb to 300 kb.



CUET subjects: 

37 (13 languages + 23 domain-specific subjects + 01 General Aptitude Test)

Medium 13 languages:

Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu

Choice of CUET test papers

Choice up to five subjects, irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th.

Correct answer: 5 marks

Incorrect answer: -1 marks
